For those whose tastes run toward noisier music, Lightning Bolt are sure to delight. The noise duo from Rhode Island will be performing at Rhino's on Tuesday, July 20 with Prizzy Prizzy Please and JEFF The Brotherhood. Lightning Bolt is composed of a bass player and drummer, but they have the power of a much larger ensemble. The band is known for it's live shows, where the group often plays on the ground rather than onstage and allows fans to circle around. Although considered a noise band, Lightning Bolt aren't afraid of melodies; they're just a little rougher than usual. If you want something new and raw, check out Lightning Bolt.
*JEFF The Brotherhood had to cancel their performance due to one of the band members coming down with walking pneumonia. We hope he feels better and that the band can come back to Bloomington sometime soon. Replacing JEFF The Brotherhood is Lafayette duo Bird feat Eric Weddle of John Wilkes Booze & Katie Leming of Cro Magnon.
