The first time I heard Liars, I was listening to Thom Yorke's DJ set on the NPR show, All Songs Considered. The song he chose to play, "The Wrong Coat for You Mt. Heart Attack" immediately struck me because for one, it reminded me of Radiohead and two, it was incredibly eerie. It evoked images of ghosts and graveyards, and lead singer Angus Andrew's voice perfectly complemented those scenes.
Their most recent album, Sisterworld is equally as haunting and explores L.A with an incredible amount of paranoia. According to a review on PopMatters, "the underlying concept of Sisterworld is the creation of survivable spaces within a city that both shatters the dreams it promises and discourages expressions of negativity." Besides being creepy, the album is moody and epic and in your face. I am positive that all of these things will translate well live. Also, if Angus makes bizarre faces like he does in his promo pictures, I think it will really add to the climate of the concert.

The show at Rhino's will surely be more of an experience than just a concert, and I'm really looking forward to it.
