Psychedelic band, Frog Eyes will be making a stop in Bloomington to play songs both new and old, including tracks from their new release, Paul's Tomb: A Triumph. The album, which debuted on local label Dead Oceans, was included on the list for the 2010 Polaris Prize. All songs were recorded live sans overdubs, creating wildly raw and epic soundscapes.
The Canadian quartet, which is led by Carey Mercer (Swan Lake, Blue Pine) released their first album, The Bloody Hand in 2002 and released an album each year after until 2004. All albums boast energetic and quirky tracks that are sure to translate well live.
