Live Buzz will be hosting a bi-weekly series this summer highlighting a killer WIUX DJ we think you should tune in to.

First up is Sean Kase!

WIUX Show Name and Time:

Show name? Not sure. The Tasha and Sean show. 4 to 6 P.M. on Wednesdays.

Is there a particular theme or genre you stick to for your show?

Absolutely not. I usually bring in two dubstep tracks, a handful of funk tracks, several indie rock tracks, and hopefully a song I found that week that I found particularly profound in a lyrical or production sense.

What drew you to WIUX and how long have you been a part of it?

Well, I basically found out how easy it was to become a DJ at the station. I started off with a show on Thursday mornings at 6 A.M. but I went every day! Then I stepped up to a 10 A.M. show, then a 10 P.M.-12 A.M. show that summer when I started mixing dirty electro on the air. Despite my hiatus this past school year, it's basically been two years.

Year in School/Major:

Done with that shiet! I majored in sociology. I have one week of classes left for the summer, so I'll technically be on the air as an alum for a month or two.

Memory from a show in Bloomington:

Oh my! I remember ushering a Tegan & Sara show my first year down here in the fall of 2005. Actually, I came down here to see Murder By Death as a youngen long ago with a couple guys who took too many mushrooms--actually very memorable for me, maybe not for them. I saw a Medusa show a few months ago at Jake's that owned. I hold a high respect for anything vaguely along the lines of hardcore or metal--it's rare that it exists, and rare that it's good these days. Also, R.I.P. Gravitas. I saw them and really enjoyed it. Really laid back show but I was blown away.

Summer Past-time

Ironically, bowling. I bowl a lot in the summer. I also like golfing up at Taylor's. Other than that, I like mini-adventures, to anywhere. I'd like to say I am going to fulfill my disc golfing escapade tomorrow, but I'm typing this as a thunderstorm occurs. I also enjoy being with friends during thunderstorms on a front porch. Let the list go on

Summer Jams

I couldn't get any more typical in this realm. Summer jams are essential to your health

Michael Jackson - Burn This Disco Out

Hercules & Love Affair - Raise Me Up

Lakeside - Fantastic Voyage

Earth, Wind & Fire - September (or anything)

Andrew W.K. - ANYTHING

Also, just any house music and nostalgic pop-punk will also do

Ultimate summer festival lineup

I wouldn't want to go off and just list acts. I don't really like festivals, and I when I go, everyone gets tired and crabby. Therefore, the ULTIMATE festival would consist of free beer, free food, and free water of most importance, so myself and my friends wouldn't complain. Subtract and add some acts from Bonnaroo, Lolla, Pitchfork, Rothbury, and Rock the Bells and combine them--I'd be very satisfied. I still regret missing the Pixies. I would also love an epic dubstep festival, but America isn't too keen to the style, or prepared for it yet.

What would you call your festival and why?

Balls to the Walls, because that's probably where those guys would be by the end of it all.

Celebrity Crush

Assuming dead or alive I'm going to have to say Billie Holiday. And Animal from the Muppets. He's certainly a dude but at least if we went on a date he'd be down for doing some crazy stuff
