Zion Crossroads: The best damn dredneck revival band east of the Mississippi. The owner of the pizza joint and music venue, Travers Marks, forged this band together. They played a free unplugged show at Runcible Spoon in early March; check out 'I shall not be moved' and 'Tennessee Red'. They also do a sweet CCR 'Bad Moon Rising' cover.

These guys are one of my favorite local bands, they call themselves The CONSTANTS. Think of a mix of The Beach Boys and Pixies with a hint of Elliott Smith if you can pick up on it. Help these guys get the ball rolling and check out their next gig April 10 at Max's Place.

One of the greatest things I have found about Max's Place is that many musicians will play covers. Of course this could always take a turn for the worst, but damn, these guys could sing.
