Tuesday nights are usually a drag. BUT, boredom be gone--the Waldron Arts Center is the place to be this very Tuesday, March 24, as Syracuse, NY's very own chamber pop collective, Ra Ra Riot, will take the stage with opening acts Cut Off Your Hands and Passion Pit.
With New Zealand natives Cut Off Your Hands touring with new material from their latest album,You & I, and Massachusetts band Passion Pit coming fresh off of SXSW, the show will be an exciting showcase of some of the indie world's newest up-and-comers.
Stealing the night's buzz, however, is Ra Ra Riot, recent label darlings of Barsuk Records, former home of indie mega-stars and April tour mates Death Cab For Cutie.
Swirling strings and synth with infectiously melodic indie-pop, Ra Ra Riot have garnered accolades from the likes of Spin Magazine, especially with the release of their 2008 debut, The Rhumb Line, ranked the 38th best album of 2008 by Rolling Stone.
