If you're a fan of the show LOST -- and we're talking a somewhat obsessive, slightly scary fan -- you may have noticed that there are repeated references to a 1970's band named Geronimo Jackson. Well, last week's episode featured a song from Geronimo Jackson which triggered speculation that the group might be none other than Dead Oceans artists and Southern California retro-rockers The Donkeys!
Pitchfork has the full story -- but I just thought I'd note that there's a Bloomington connection to all this. The Donkeys played the Cinemat back on September 15, 2008, which was the first show covered here on Live Buzz! $tefania was there to blog about it, and audience member David Hassell gave us some pics.
So, here's what I want to know: were you there to see it? How was it? Were there mysterious guys in tan jumpsuits there? Judging by this pic of $tefania, it looks like there was indeed some time travel involved...
