I don't think it's currently possible for me to get my fill of Cinemat shows. As one of the more intimate venues in Bloomington, The Cinemat has easily become one of my favorite places to watch bands perform. As I'm sure you've heard by now, it's closing down and the shows will stop in May. This is probably why I've been spending so much time there lately.
Needless to say, I was quite excited to find out that Here We Go Magic, a band I've really been enjoying lately, is coming there on Wednesday.
The band has been generating a lot of buzz, and rightfully so. They're a product of the solo-recordings of singer/songwriter Luke Temple, and they incorporate some of my favorite sounds: analog synthesizers, looped vocals, and African rhythms. I'd recommend following the link and giving the songs "Tunnelvision" and "Fangela" a listen. They're dreamy and honest, and currently on repeat.
Also fitting the bill will be Callers and Bloomington's own, Vollmar.
Tickets are only $6
All Ages!!
