Captain J.K. McKnight has announced the headliners for Louisville, KY's Forecastle Festival -- and, it looks like this year's festival is set to put the grass back into Kentucky bluegrass.*

At the top of the bill are the psychedelic jam band Widespread Panic, which will be performing on both Saturday and Sunday of the festival, and blues rock veterans The Black Crowes (who, by the way, are coming up on their 25th anniversary this year). Meanwhile, speaking of blues rock, retro duo The Black Keys will be at Forecastle, as well as folk-punks The Avett Brothers. And the Captain and co. are saying that another 65+ bands and DJ's are yet to be announced.

The festival will be taking place July 10-12 at the Riverfront Belvedere in Louisville. Presale tickets are available via Ticketmaster, and range from $40 for a presale single-day pass to $100 for a presale three-day pass (with VIP tickets costing double).

The festival is also sponsoring a spring tour throughout April and into May, although only a couple of the featured artists have been announced so far. It will, however, be stopping here in Bloomington for Little 5 weekend on April 25 -- so, we'll fill you in on that once we know.

*By which, of course, I mean the lawn at the Riverfront Belvedere where you'll be sitting to watch the shows -- why, what did you think I meant?
