B-Mac

Hello there, Internets! You're looking nice, if I might say so. Are those several thousand new servers that you have on? Lovely.

Right, so my name is Brian and I'm looking forward to writing about the local music scene here on Live Buzz. Since I'm older than dirt, I'm still a bit green when it comes to this newfangled blogging stuff. However, I love going to shows, love listening to albums, love Bloomington, and have a bit of experience covering B-town's rock beat -- so, if you bear with me, I'll try to make it worth your rapidly drying eyeballs.

But before the reportage, care for a little funny?

Back in 2005, Something Awful's Dr. David Thorpe published two guides to the various sub-species of North American hipster. If you've spent any time in the Bloomington music scene, there's a fair chance that you've run across some of these majestic beasts yourself. Or are one. For the record, I'm an insufferable blend of "pop nerd," "local scene idiot," "American Anglophile," and "twee twit."

(Fair warning: not for the easily offended or those lacking a sense of humor.)
