Cream defeats Crimson in scrimmage as top recruits watch

From Ryan Winn: As the possible future of IU men's basketball watched, the current crop of Hoosiers showed a bit of what the present holds. The Cream squad, led by junior guard Daniel Moore's 18 points, defeated its Crimson clad counterparts 65-51 in the "Night of the Living Red" scrimmage Friday night at Assembly Hall. "I thought we did some good things," IU coach Tom Crean said.

Hoosier spotlight: Christian Watford

Overview: Watford is a 6-9, 230-pound sophomore forward from Birmingham, Ala. He started all 31 games and recorded four double-doubles as a freshman last season, averaging 12 points per game.

Johnson and Thomas Named Capitans for Northwestern Game

Junior defensive end Darius Johnson and junior linebacker Jeff Thomas were named the captains for Saturday's game against Northwestern. If you have watched IU football games this season, you have noticed how much Johnson and Thomas have been pleasant surprises on the IU defense.

IU football: TE Max Dedmond out vs. Northwestern

IU tight end Max Dedmond, who was injured in last week's game at Illinois, won't play Saturday against Northwestern, according to the injury report released Tuesday. More importantly, though, offensive lineman James Brewer is questionable and could be on the field against the Wildcats.
