IU defensive back Andre Kates is suspended indefinitely, an athletic department spokesman told The Bloomington Herald-Times. Kates missed Saturday's game against Northwestern after he criticized the coaching staff -- specifically head coach Bill Lynch -- on his Twitter account. Kates then proceeded to Tweet throughout the game as if he never expected to play football for the Hoosiers again.
Last night, Kates Tweeted that he had been released from the football team.
"NO LONGER A FOOTBALL PLAYER HERE AT IU... IM DONE DIS DUDE REALLY GOT ME (expletive) ALL UP!!!!!!!!!!"
