Eric Gordon and D.J. White play in Indianapolis

Former IU basketball players Eric Gordon and D.J. White hit the court in front of fans at University of Indianapolis Saturday night as the Indy ProAm took on the Goodman League. Gordon and White played for the Indy based team along with other NBA stars while the Goodman team included DeMarcus Cousins, Jeff Green and John Wall. The Goodman League won 170-167 with Gordon leading the way with 40 points for the Indy ProAm team and White scoring 12. Gordon talked before the game on how he has used the off-season to work on his ball-handling and some post-up moves. He said one of the benefits the lockout might allow will give the 2008 Big Ten Freshman of the Year a chance to see his former college team in action. Darius Willis appears in local pro wrestling event

While the IU football team played in North Texas, losing 24-21, injured running back Darius Willis helped a different kind of team win, when he helped professional wrestler PJB take down his opponent with a flying shoulder tackle. "I've just always wanted to be around (pro wrestling), wanted to come watch it," Willis said Saturday evening.

IU Women's volleyball drops to 0-2 in Big Ten with 4 set loss against Michigan State

Final: A rather bizarre fourth quarter comeback fell short for the Hoosiers as they fall to 1-3. Dusty Kiel finishes with seven completions on 12 attempts for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Fourth Quarter, 1:00: Kiel finds Hughes on a 66 yard touchdown after the defender was caught offguard while putting on his shoe.

Maurice Creek not practicing and not 100 percent

Jason King of Yahoo! Sports conducted a Question and Answer with Tom Crean that included an interesting tidbit about the health of junior guard Maurice Creek. IU Athletics announces 2011 Hall of Fame Class

Eighteen IU athletes will be inducted into the IU Athletics Hall of Fame 2011 class on Sept. 30. Fred Glass, IU Vice-President and Director of Athletics, announced that the class includes six "contemporary" and 12 "pioneer" inductees.
