In 2008, the University of Richmond Spiders played the Bulldogs of South Carolina State during the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs. In a Spiders uniform was a freshman linebacker from Charlotte, N.C. named Lee Rose. Now a redshirt junior at IU, Rose remembers the game fondly, as it was en route to the Spiders winning the FCS Championship.

"They were a fast-paced team," Rose said. "They're fast, they're aggressive and they can be explosive and score points in a hurry if you don't play fundamentally sound football."

IU Coach Kevin Wilson warned in a press conference today that although some may view IU as better than the Bulldogs on paper, this is not an opponent to underestimate.

"To us, South Carolina State is the next opponent and we need to start winning games, no matter what the paper matchup is," Wilson said.
