The rowing team begins action this season when they host the Lemonhead Regatta on Sept. 27. The Hoosier are coached by Steve Peterson, now entering his sixth year at IU.
This weekend marks the opening for both the men's and women's Golf Seasons. The men lead by coach Mayer will head up to Wolf Run in Zionsville, Indiana for the Wolf Run Intercollegiate.
So I'm hoping to do this every week. It'll keep me on my toes evaluating the other Big Ten teams and allow you a great opportunity to disagree with me. Before I begin, I wanted to point out that IU currently sits atop the Big Ten standings, since the only team that lost (Illinois) is also the only conference team preceding IU in alphabetical order.

The Hoosiers' 2009 season kicked off the way everyone expected, but the final score was anything but convincing.
Victor Oladipo, the No. 133 recruit in the class of 2010, is currently on his way to Bloomington, his high school coach Mike Jones recently confirmed. Jones said Oladipo probably has IU in his top 3 schools, along with Notre Dame and North Carolina State. More to come as his visit to IU commences. UPDATE: Oladipo's flight (the only one out of Baltimore heading to Indianapolis) is set to take off at 4:15 p.m., putting him in Indianapolis by 6:00 p.m.
