IU defeats Howard 83-60

After a first half that began with a bit of confusion, the Hoosiers settled in and gained a lead just before the second half. IU used a 38-11 run to gain separation and maintained its lead throughout for an 83-60 win. The leading scorer for Hoosiers was freshman guard Maurice Creek who had 17 points in his first regular season contest. He was followed by two freshmen in forwards Derek Elston and Christian Watford.

IU Women tops Memphis in season opener

Postgame: Down 73-68 with 2 minutes left the Hoosiers rallied and outscored Memphis 10-1 down the stretch to win 78-74. The winning basket came with 40 seconds left when Indiana's Whitney Lindsay converted a three point play by hitting a lay-up while being fouled.

Rowing Scrimmage at Ohio State

The rowing is traveling to Columbus, OH this weekend for a work out with Ohio St., Michigan St. and Dayton. It will not be a typical head race but rather of races with fixed time limits and fixed stroke rates.

Ohio State defeats Indiana 4-2

After a goal in the opening four minutes of each half, IU was unable to outscore Ohio State in the semi-final match of the Big Ten Tournament. Ohio State's first three goals came in the first half.

Men's soccer team advances to Big Ten Semis, bounces Badgers

On a Will Bruin strike 20 seconds into the second half, the fourth-seeded IU men's soccer team took a lead it would not give up as it defeated fifth-seeded Wisconsin 2-0 Thursday in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal at Bill Armstrong Stadium. Senior forward Darren Yeagle put the game away for good 22 minutes later off a Bruin miss. IU recorded 22 shots on the game, while Wisconsin only had seven. Freshman keeper Luis Soffner got the start for IU replacing an injured senior Nemanja Kostic.

It's been a Hardy-knock life

As former IU cornerback Tracy Porter makes a name for himself in the big leagues, another member of the Hoosiers' 2007 Insight Bowl team is finally on the road back to recovery. Wide receiver and fan-favorite James Hardy has been added to the Buffalo Bills' 53-man roster, coming off ACL surgery on his left knee.
