Quotes from Coach Robertson on Wake Forest loss

IU field hockey coach Amy Robertson talked about IU's 2-0 loss to Wake Forest on Saturday Nov. 14th. The team ended the season 14-7 and tied for 2nd in the Big Ten Conference. "We started off the game a little shaky" "The second half we were much different because we were more aggressive on our attack" "We had penalty corner opportunities, but couldn't capitalize" "It was great for us to get to the tournament" Robertson said "This will be a season to remember". "This experience is huge for the underclassmen because it allows them to see what it takes to get there" "It was both Indiana's offense not getting started and Wake Forest's defense stopping us that happened on Saturda"

Injury update

The Colts' PR staff in the press box has listed RB Joseph Addai's return questionable. He suffered what is being called a "finger injury" on his scoring play.

Pats at it again

This is why the Belichick is the best coach in the league; deception. We're not talking about Spygate.

On that note...

I'm convinced Colts Offensive Coordinator Tom Moore thinks he is going to need a balanced attack. The Colts have shown just about everything in the first two drives; screens (which just led to a Joseph Addai touchdown, Colts 7-0), playaction, the signature stretch play, and sideline and down the middle routes.

Gameplan note

Right now it's evident to me the Colts aren't worried about putting up huge points. It could have been a last minute decision based on the Pats' first series, as the Colts secondary hinted tight coverage within 20 yards and playing intermediate routes would be a thing of the night.

Noise update

Just to give an idea of what the Pats offense is facing, this box is designed to block out noise. The raucous is audible even on the inside of the press area and that's a generous statement.

Gametime

We're about set as the field-long American flag is being taken back in the tunnel. Indy will have the ball first as New England deferred.

While I know the football game between IU and Penn State ended yesterday, I found an interesting video on the PSU athletic site about the matchup. It's a behind-the-scenes look at the game and has unique footage from the Nittany Lion win.

IU gives up early lead, loses to Penn State 31-20

The story is all too familiar for IU football this season: an early lead, a failure to capitalize on opportunities and a second-half struggle. Saturday's game against Penn State was no different. After IU (4-7, 1-6) built a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, the No.

IU and Penn State tied 10-10 at halftime

Here we go again. IU jumped out to an early 10-0 lead against No. 18 Penn State, but the Nittany Lions scored 10 late second quarter points to tie the game at halftime. The Hoosiers forced four Penn State turnovers, including recovering two fumbles on Penn State punt returns but have only scored seven points off the four turnovers. To open the game, IU drove 59 yards in 12 plays and got on the scoreboard with a 27-yard field goal from Nick Freeland. On the ensuing Penn State drive, IU linebacker intercepted a tipped pass and returned it to Penn State's 43-yard line.
