The IU rowing team had a work out with Big Ten rivals Michigan State and Ohio State as well as the University of Dayton today.

No official scores were kept. Nonetheless, Hoosiers' coach Steve Peterson was very pleased with everything. The varsity was neck and neck with the Buckeyes all day; it was one of the closest performances they've ever had with them.

The novices, unofficially, won four of their races, all by the 1st Novice 8 crew.

The work out was dictated by four racing pieces with fixed time intervals and fixed stroke rates for each crew.

On the whole, Peterson felt the scrimmage was very productive.

With only an intra-squad scrimmage left on the fall schedule, Peterson is very happy with his team going into winter workouts.
