The No. 13 Hoosiers (14-7, 4-2) end their NCAA tournament run with a loss in the first round to No. 7 Wake Forest (14-6) 2-0.

IU fought hard against the home field advantaged Deacons, but it wasn't enough as they shutout the Hoosiers.

History repeated itself with the last time the Hoosiers were in the tournament they lost to Wake Forest 5-0 in the second round.

The Deacons got off to an early lead with a goal at the 11th minute from forward Kim Romansky.

In the first half, IU missed an important opportunity to capitalize off a penalty stroke from senior forward Haley Funk.

Neither team scored before halftime, Wake was up 1-0.

The Deacons scored again late in the second half with a goal from forward Hilary Moore off an assist from midfielder Aileen Davis in the 59th minute.

There was a major improvement from last season's 7-11 record and last place finish in the Big Ten Conference to this years 14-7 record.

The Hoosiers won their last seven of 10 games including the Big Ten and NCAA tournament.

The Hoosiers ended the season tied for second in the Big Ten and earned second place in the Big Ten tournament.
