Not too much to talk about from this game. There were lots of offensive struggles, which players said was due to the split squad creating some uneven matchups.
Freshman wideout Duwyce Wilson had a good game, though, hauling in 5 passes for 65 yards before rolling his ankle. He was on the field walking normally after the game, so the injury doesn't appear to be anything serious.
The running backs had a decent game as well, led by surprising true freshman Antonio Banks. Banks rushed for 49 yards on 11 carries, though he was stopped at the goal line twice late in the game. Senior Trea Burgess led the Cream team with 12 caarries for 29 yards and the team's only touchdown.
Junior wide receiver Tandon Doss gets my Player of the Game nod, as he hauled in 6 catches for 67 yards, both team-highs. Among those grabs were several highlight reel plays, either extending his whole body and snagging a high pass or making something happen after the catch.
The kicking game got extended action tonight, with 9 total punts. Kickers Nick Freeland and Mitch Ewald each made their lone field-goal attempts from 32 and 44 yards, respectively.

Game notes
-Long pass from Wright-Baker falls incomplete on 4th down, looks like the Crimson has this one.
-Chappell to Charles Love for a TD...17-10 Crimson
-Teams continue to trade punts..10-10 with 4 minutes to go.
-Duwyce Wilson made a big paly along the sidelines but came up limp. It looks like an ankle injury.
-Announced attendance: 5, 325, an IU spring game record.
-An offense sighting. Burgess scores on a run up the middle to tie the game at 10.
-Onside kick to start the second half, recovered by the Cream.
-Second half starts just as the first half. No offense and turnovers.
-The Kick for Tuition was not even close. The student rolled it to about the 15-yard line.
-Doss continues to look spectacular. He's made bad passes look great and 1-yard gains into first downs.
-40-yard field goal by Nick Ford is no good.
-Turnovers galore tonight. QB Teddy Schell just fumbled for the Crimson, and it's recovered by Milton Owens.
-Kiel has been picked off twice, but one of those was by highly-touted young CB Lenyatta Kiles.
-First touchdown was scored on a bad punt snap recovered by the Crimson's Javon Cornley. 10-3, Crimson.
-Mitch Ewald followed the fake with a 44-yard field goal to tie the game, 3-3.
-On a fake field goal by the Crimson (they called a timeout right before the play...who knew?), Teddy Schell completed a pass to Griffen Dahlstrom for the first down.
-Cream is moving QB's around. 3 have already been used (Kiel, Wright-Baker, Crrevey). While Chappell stays in on Crimson, he hasn't moved the ball at all.
-Student section T-shirt announced. The winning submission can be seen by clicking here.
-Nick Freeland made a short field go for the first points of the game. 3-0, Cream.
-Tandon Doss made a great catch on fourth down on the opening drive to keep points away from the Crimson.
-Hard (well, impossible) to tell the cream side from the crimson in the stands. One of IU Athletics' biggest goals was to create a competitive atmosphere, but from shirt color alone, it looks like a normal IU student section.
-Tyler Replogle is in shorts and will not participate in the game tonight.

I'm sitting in the Memorial Stadium press box, about 30 minutes until game time. The atmosphere around the stadium is much more boisterous than I personally expected walking in. The Bark in the Park project seems like an instant hit, as I saw at least 25 dogs on my walk to the press box alone.
My personal favorite addition thus far has to be the Marching Hundred. It just isn't a football game without a band, and kudos has to go to IU Athletics for making that happen.
Stay with Hoosier Hype for continuous updates throughout tonight's game.
