Fresh off his first collegiate individual title, sophomore Chase Wright was named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week on Wednesday.
The Muncie, Ind., native won the adidas Hoosier Invitational on Sunday by seven shots, and finished the tournament with a three round total of nine under par 204
Wright has had a great start to the 2010 spring season for the Hoosiers. He went 3-1 at the Collegiate Match Play Championship before the win at the adidas Hoosier Invitational. Playing at the number three spot in the lineup, Wright as played in every tournament this season for IU.
The IU men's golf team will return to competition on April 19-20 when they host another tournament, this time at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind.
