Today we received an e-mail with this link to a website titled "Take Back Assembly Hall: The Indiana Student Movement." The creators of the website want a more respectable student section at Assembly Hall.
When you go to the site, Twisted Sister's "We're Not Going to Take it" is playing. I find this humorous because of the message the website has and that the song is one of the most popular and notable ones played by the pep band at Assembly Hall.
On the front page, the creators say "Because they refuse to help coordinate us into an organized group to be recognized by the university, TBAH looks to turn the table and give the student body more power by becoming united and coordinated through this movement which will forever shake the walls of Assembly Hall... "
They do acknowledge that the number of student tickets is impressive, but the creators desire organization for the student section. Without help from the administration or SAB, the creators want the students to take the power in their own hands.
I think if the creators want the crowd to be this loud every game.
On the same note, a poster on Peegs.com (an IU message board) posted this video about the student section debate. One student wants the student section to be more like the famed "Cameron Crazies" of Duke. I think he must have missed this story about Duke's student section last week.
