Indiana men’s basketball earned its first commitment from the class of 2029 Tuesday, as in-state guard Micah Mohler committed to the program, per Jeff Rabjohns of 247Sports. Mohler chose the Cream and Crimson over Purdue, Western Kentucky University and the University of Evansville.
Mohler first received an offer from the Hoosiers on June 23, 2026, before committing Tuesday.
During his freshman season at Austin High School in Austin, Indiana, the 6-foot-5, 205-pound shooting guard averaged 21.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. The Eagles went 17-9, winning both a sectional and regional championship.
Mohler also played for the Midwest Basketball Club on the 3-Stripes Select Basketball 15U circuit spring and summer 2026. The native Hoosier averaged 17.5 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game during the circuit.
Mohler expressed his enthusiasm to play with Indiana, his “dream school,” in an interview summer 2026 with Peegs.com.
“I used to go to their games when I was little,” Mohler said. “Being there, seeing all the facilities, it just made me want to go there even more. It was really exciting.”
