Indiana Women's Golf
For the fourth straight year, Indiana women’s golf will open the season at the Boilermaker Classic, which will run Aug. 31 to Sept. 1 at the Kampen-Cosler Golf Course in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Last season, the Hoosiers finished second at the tournament, tallying the seventh-lowest tournament tally in program history. Then-senior Madison Dabagia’s score of 209 (70-72-67; -7) won the event by three strokes.
This season, Indiana will look to duplicate its early season success and carry it throughout the entirety of the 2026-27 season.
However, the Hoosiers roster has undergone some changes since May. Indiana lost Dabagia and Maddie May to graduation but returned six players and brought in three new additions.
Indiana is led by Brian May, who is entering his fifth year as head coach of the Hoosiers. Prior to joining Indiana, May spent eight years as an assistant coach at the University of Kentucky.
May led a highly successful 2025-26 season in which the Hoosiers claimed top five honors in five tournaments. Indiana was selected to the NCAA Simpsonville Regional, marking its second NCAA appearance in the last three seasons.
Indiana will look to build on last season’s success as it will play 10 regular season tournaments against quality competition.
Following the Hoosier’s season opener at the Boilermaker Classic, Indiana will compete in the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational at the University Club of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.
October will feature three invitationals to round out the fall season. Play will pick back up in February when the Hoosiers compete in the Paradise Invitational in Boca Raton, Florida, and the Westbrook Invitational in Peoria, Arizona.
The Hoosiers will then compete in one March invitational before two tournaments in April ahead of the Big Ten Championships held April 23-25.
Indiana Men’s Golf
Indiana men’s golf schedule this season will feature 12 regular season events, two individual tournaments and hosting a 2027 NCAA Regional at The Pfau Course in Bloomington.
Indiana will open the season at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate from Aug. 31 to Sept. 1 at the Fox Den Country Club in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Hoosiers will then play back-to-back weekends in September before competing in three invitationals in the month of October.
The nine-event spring schedule will kick off with the Battle at Briar’s Creek from Feb. 15-16 in John’s Island, South Carolina. The intensity of the schedule intensifies in March and April as the Hoosiers will compete in seven combined events ahead of the Big Ten Championships.
Last season, Indiana finished 16th in the 2026 Big Ten Championships. Since, the Hoosiers lost three from the roster but added two newcomers, while returning seven.
Indiana is led by 29-year head coach Mike Mayer. Over the years, he has led the Hoosiers to 13 NCAA Regional Appearances. The 2025-26 season started with a third-place finish at the Rod Myers Invitational, but an injury to then-redshirt senior and captain of the team Clay Merchent hurt the Hoosiers as he was the team's low scorer of the season.
Indiana went on to earn three more top 10 finishes but was unable to secure a spot in the NCAA Regional. The Hoosiers will look to build upon last year and get back to the NCAA Regionals this season .
