Indiana men’s soccer senior forward Palmer Ault was named to the United Soccer Coaches’ All-America second team Friday, per a release from Indiana Athletics.

Throughout 19 matches played this season, Ault tallied 16 goals and 10 assists. He became the first player in the Big Ten to record at least 15 goals and 10 assists in a season since 2001. Ault was also named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year on Nov. 13.

Indiana holds the nation’s longest active streak of producing an All-American player in each of the last 12 seasons. Ault is the 52nd Indiana player to earn All-American status in program history. Most recently, forward Sam Sarver and defender Quinton Elliot were both named as All-Americans last season for the Hoosiers.

Coming into the year, the Noblesville, Indiana, native recorded 54 total points throughout his three-year career at Butler University. During his senior year at Indiana, Ault produced 42 total points alone. Ault ultimately wrapped up his four-year career with 96 total points recorded — the second most among active players.

Indiana finished the season with a 12-6-1 record overall and 5-5-0 Big Ten. The Hoosiers started the season 5-0-1 and were named the No. 1 team in the country Sept. 9. Indiana struggled at 3-4-0 on the road but was still the No. 6 seed in the nation heading into the NCAA tournament. Ultimately, the Hoosiers fell to Saint Louis University in the second round.
