Indiana football’s home finale announced as sellout, brings total to 8 under Cignetti

Indiana football hasn’t lost inside Memorial Stadium in head coach Curt Cignetti’s tenure. The Hoosiers are 12-0 in Bloomington, and 4-0 this season. All three of the Cream and Crimson’s remaining home games are now sold out, according to the program’s X post Friday.

The Hoosiers’ final home game this season, which is slated for Nov. 15 against Wisconsin, was the final contest to sell out. The sellout brings Indiana’s total to eight over Cignetti’s first two seasons in Bloomington. The final four home games last season were also sold out.

Prior to Cignetti taking over at the helm of the program, Memorial Stadium was sold out just eight times since 2000 — largely because of the Hoosiers’ opponent.

Indiana’s conference opener against then-No. 9 Illinois, which the Hoosiers won 63-10 on Sept. 20, was announced as a sellout at the end of July. Then, in early September, tickets for Indiana’s contests against Michigan State on Oct. 18 and UCLA on Oct. 25 were sold out.

Indiana holds the fourth-longest home winning streak in the country at 12.

The Hoosiers are currently on their first of two bye weeks this season. They enter a top 10 matchup against No. 2 Oregon at 3:30 p.m. EDT Oct. 11 at 5-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
