Indiana men’s soccer enters the 2025 season ranked 11th by the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll.
The Hoosiers finished the 2024 season with an 11-5-5 record, clinching a share of the regular season Big Ten title but falling short in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament to the University of Denver.
Indiana’s 2025 season will feature several new faces, as seven of its starters from the final game of the season left the program in the offseason: goalkeeper JT Harms, defenders Jansen Miller and Quinton Elliot, midfielder Patrick McDonald and forwards Sam Sarver, Tommy Mihalic and Justin Weiss.
Senior forward Palmer Ault is a notable addition to the squad, arriving from Butler University with three seasons of experience, 21 goals scored and 12 assists.
Ohio State is the only other Big Ten team in the rankings, sitting at the No. 3 spot. Indiana faced the Buckeyes once in 2024, drawing 2-2 Sept. 27 in Columbus, Ohio.
The Hoosiers begin their preseason matches with a contest against No. 20 Western Michigan University at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 11 at Bill Armstrong Stadium in Bloomington.
