WIUX, the City of Bloomington and Music Industry Creatives are collaborating to bring together art and music at 7 p.m. March 28 at the I Fell Gallery as the WIUX Culture Shock festival lineup is revealed.

The Artist Party will be held from 7-9 p.m. at the I Fell Gallery and will feature a DJ, refreshments and an art exhibition in the gallery.

The party will announce the artists who will take the stage at WIUX’s annual spring semester music festival Culture Shock taking place this year from 1p.m. to 10 p.m. April 13 at Dunn Meadow. The festival brings in local and independent artists as well as Bloomington food vendors and provides support for WIUX.

Burning Couch, another student-run local music festival presented by Music Industry Creatives, has announced its own lineup and will make more announcements at the party. The second annual Burning Couch festival will begin the day after Culture Shock at 11 a.m. April 14 at Switchyard Park. Presale tickets for the festival are live as well as merchandise.

Admission for the Artist Party is free, but an RSVP is encouraged.
