The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches announced the All-American Teams for the 2022 season on Wednesday. Four Hoosiers — junior Zoe Crouch and seniors Mary Askew, Tina Doherty and Izzy Mandema  — were named Honorable Mention All-Americans.

Askew earned an honorable mention for the second consecutive year. The senior goalie recorded 245 saves this season, placing her seventh all-time on the career saves list with 612 over her four years with the program.

Doherty also earned an All-American Honorable Mention in 2021 after making Third Team in 2020. She scored 48 goals during the season, and her career total of 190 places her seventh on the all-time scoring list.

This is Mandema’s second consecutive honorable mention, and she was also named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Second-Team and All-Academic Team this season. The senior center marked 60 goals, 15 steals, six assists and 110 drawn exclusions during the 2022 campaign.

Crouch earned her first-career All-American Honorable Mention this season and earned an MPSF All-Academic Award. The utility recorded 53 assists during her junior year, placing her in a tie for third in the single-season assists rankings.
