IU women’s soccer defeated the University of Tennessee at Martin 1-0 Thursday to win its second game of the season.
The Hoosiers’ lone goal came from sophomore midfielder Avery Lockwood in the 37th minute. Through three games, IU has yet to allow a goal.
The game was delayed several times throughout the night with high temperatures and lightning causing the start time to be postponed. A second lightning delay paused the game in the 13th minute.
The Hoosiers are now 2-0-1 on the season. IU will play next at 2 p.m. Sunday against the University of Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee.
