The Indiana Daily Student received 20 recognitions in total from the 2021 Associated Collegiate Press and College Media Business and Advertising Managers Awards on March 20. There were 10 awards from the Associated Collegiate Press, an organization that highlights exemplary journalism. There were two awards given for the overall publication and eight individual honors, including a first place finish for Matt Cohen’s “IU’s great big COVID-19 experiment.

The IDS was honored further with 10 recognitions from the College Media Business and Advertising Managers 2021 Awards, a competition with categories that spanned from publications, advertising design, sales marketing, multimedia and digital advertising and more. The awards from CMBAM comprised the efforts of numerous individuals from the design and marketing teams as well as recognition for some products that represent collaboration between the business and editorial sides. These nine individual awards subsequently helped the IDS achieve a second place overall in Best College Media Production Program.

"Congratulations to all of the award winners,” Student Media Director Jim Rodenbush said. “While I'm proud each day of the exceptional work done by our students on the editorial and marketing teams, outside recognition from organizations like ACP and CMBAM is always special.”
