The Grunwald Gallery of Art will be showcasing a new exhibit starting Dec. 1, titled “Bones of Abandoned Futures.”

The exhibit, which was created by IU Painting BFA student Bethany Habegger, will include five oil paintings and a variety of other works of art that examine humanity’s collective cultural past as well, according to the gallery’s website. The themes of the exhibit include nostalgia and abandonment and will feature images of empty spaces that act as time capsules, the website says.

The exhibit is a part of Habegger’s BFA thesis, and a reception for the exhibit will be at 6 p.m. on Dec. 11 over Zoom. Registration for the event can be found here. For more information, email Habegger at bhabegge@iu.edu
