* FINAL: IU defeats UC Davis 76-62.

Juwan Morgan was phenomenal. He finishes with 31 points, 10 rebounds in 40 minutes of game time. He played the whole game.

Romeo Langford also had 20 points for IU.

The Hoosiers didn't lead until there was 5:43 to go in the game, but then they exploded to open up the eventual 14-point winning margin.

In the final 8:33 of the game, IU outscored UC-Davis 28-6.

The visitors led for 31 minutes at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, but late in the game their three-point shooting fell off pace and costly turnovers, in part due to the home crowd, spelled their demise.

IU is now 5-1 on the season with a trip to Duke next on the schedule, while UC Davis falls to 1-6 despite a spirited effort.

* Under-4 Timeout (3:32 to go in the game). IU leads UC Davis 65-57.

The Hoosiers have roared back to life at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Increased defensive intensity both on the court and in stands have forced a long dry spell for the Aggies, who went 4:26 without scoring.

Juwan Morgan is up to 31 points now, and he scored the layup to give IU it's first lead of the night, which was followed by a three-pointer from Langford and another three from Morgan, his fifth of the game. Justin Smith then added a three-pointer of his own.

* Under-8 Timeout (7:58 to go in the game). IU trails UC Davis 54-50.

Morgan with 26 points and 8 rebounds now, closing in on a double-double.

* Under-12 Timeout (11:55 to go in the game). IU trails UC Davis 48-45.

A nice 5-0 scoring run in that segment from the combined trio of Morgan, Langford and Durham to make it a one possession game.

Langford has joined Morgan as IU's double-digit scorers tonight, as he has 11 points on 4-9 shooting.

Rob Phinisee continues to struggle offensively tonight for IU, making the occasional careless pass and just not appearing very determined to drive to the basket.

* Under-16 Timeout (15:10 to go in the game). IU trails UC Davis 48-40.

A Juwan Morgan three-pointer and a Romeo Langford free throw have been the entirety of the IU offense in the second half, while UC Davis now has eight made three-pointers on 14 attempts.

Morgan has 22 points, and IU players not named Juwan Morgan are 6-20 from the field.

* HALFTIME: IU trails UC Davis 38-36.

The Aggies are 6-11 shooting 3s and led in scoring by guard TJ Shorts II, who has 12 points.

Juwan Morgan with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the Hoosiers. Morgan has single-handedly kept IU in this game, kept the game from getting out of hand when it was down double-digits and given a jolt of energy by Morgan before halftime as he dunked on the final offensive possession right before the buzzer.

Additionally, UC Davis is out rebounding IU 13-10.

Both teams are shooting well form the field, with UC Davis shooting 15-27 from the field while IU is 14-23 from the field. Eight turnovers for the Hoosiers compared to seven for the Aggies.

Rob Phinisee has 0 points on 0-3 shooting, but he does have five assist for IU and has overcome a really shaky start to tonight's game.

* Under-4 Timeout (2:10) IU trails UC Davis 35-28.

The Hoosiers closed the gap to just two points behind a spirited individual performance from Juwan Morgan.

Morgan went on an 11-0 run by himself at one point, but UC Davis continued to be comfortable shooting three-pointers.

The Aggie have gone 5-10 from behind the three-point arc so far tonight.

Morgan has 15 points and six rebounds and has been IU's best player by far on both ends of the court.

* Under-8 Timeout (6:59) IU trails UC Davis 24-13.

Juwan Morgan has gotten more demonstrative on offense and now leads the Hoosiers with seven points. Turnovers continue to hurt IU as a transition layup from TJ Shorts II gave UC Davis its largest lead of the night.

UC Davis is out rebounding IU 10-6 and lots of bounces going the way of the visitors, but IU has still been quite reserved on offense.

IU is 1-4 from the free-throw line and 5-11 from the field.

* Under-12 Timeout (11:40) IU trails UC Davis 15-6.

It's been a really slow start for IU in front of a holiday crowd in Bloomington.

Six turnovers in the first eight minutes from the Hoosiers to go along with 2-7 shooting from the field. In particular, the IU offense has struggled to get close to the UC Davis basket, and the length of UC Davis, along with double teams, has presented struggles for Coach Archie Miller's offense.

On defense, IU has struggled to contain guard TJ Shorts II, who has eight points. The Aggie shave also made some sensational layups in the early stages.

* Under-16 Timeout (15:50) IU trails UC Davis 9-4.

The Aggies have started the game hot from the field, making four of their first five shots. Guard TJ Shorts II has four early points to lead the way for the visitors.

IU is just 1-3 from the field, with fouls being picked up by Juwan Morgan and Romeo Langford. Langford also has two turnovers in his return to action after being hit in the nose toward the end of Tuesday's game.

Al Durham has made an early 3-pointer for IU as well as he returns after falling on his back during the same game.

* Romeo Langford opens scoring for IU with a 1 of 2 showing from the foul line. IU trails UC Davis 5-1 in the early stages.
