Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton will speak at 11 a.m. Friday in the City Hall Council Chambers to discuss an annexation to the city. The public is invited to attend.
An annexation is the expansion of city limits. The last annexation occurred in July 2007, when an area in the corner of SR 45 and Leonard Springs Road became a part of Bloomington’s city limits.
According to a release from the mayor’s office, this would be the first city annexation in more than a decade.
