Sowers hit .467 during the Snowbird Baseball Classic in Port Charlotte, Fla., last weekend with one home run — the first of his career — and five RBIs.
He also had 10 total bases and a slugging percentage of .667.
He matched his career high in hits Friday against Villanova with three and recorded an RBI. Sowers also stole home against Villanova. It was the second time he has done so this season.
He leads IU in total bases for the season with 25 and hits with 17, and he is tied for a team high in stolen bases with three.
