Woman arrested on charges of prostitution, burglary

Jami Primer was arrested Tuesday on charges of burglary, theft, prostitution and forgery, according to a Bloomington Police Report.

The 36-year-old admitted to having sex with a 27-year-old male for $20 on either Feb. 1 or Feb. 2 at 2300 S Henderson St, Capt. Joe Qualters said.

On Sunday, she admitted to entering the male’s apartment and stealing his wallet. She took his credit card and used it at the Kroger on South Walnut Street, forging his signature on a receipt.

The male said she came into his apartment and asked for money. He denied the request and fell asleep on his living room couch, which is when he believes she took the wallet from his pocket, according to the report.

The two met on a bus, which is where he agreed to pay her money for sexual intercourse, the report said.

Police traced Primer’s location using text messages from the male’s phone.

Theft and prostitution are class-A misdemeanors, burglary is a class-5 felony and forgery is a class-6 felony.
