Man pulls knife on Kilroy's bouncer

A male assaulted a Dunkirk employee with a knife Thursday, Jan. 8, at ?Kilroy’s on Kirkwood.

The Dunkirk employee, also a male, approached the Kilroy’s entrance during a fight regarding the legitimacy of an identification card. The man began swinging his folding knife in the air when the Kilroy’s bouncer refused to allow a female’s entrance to the bar.

The female was accompanied by two 21-year-old males, one of whom held the knife, according to the report.

When the Kilroy’s employee refused the female entrance to the bar, the suspect pulled out a folding knife and began swinging it in the air. After the 45-year-old Dunkirk employee intervened, he received a slash mark in the back of his jacket. Until the police arrived at the scene, neither the bouncer nor the victim noticed the slash mark, according to the report.

Before police arrived, the group of three drove away. A plate number was written down, but was incorrectly transposed and provided no information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts.

The suspect is at large and the investigation is ongoing.
