U.S. Rep. Todd Young, R-9th District, is officially running for reelection.
The two-term congressman who represents south-central Indiana, including Bloomington, confirmed the decision via email Monday morning. He will file with the Indiana Secretary
of State’s Office at 9 a.m., according to the email.
Young and former Democratic Seymour, Ind., mayor Bill Bailey are the only two candidates to publicly declare their intent to run, although candidates may file with the state through Feb. 7 for the May 6 primary.
Young first won in 2010, taking the seat from Democrat Baron Hill.
