During World War II, American soldiers courageously stormed shores overseas in combat against the tyrannical Nazi and Japanese regimes.
Last week, more than 100 of these same Americans forced entry into the closed National World War II Memorial in the face of the tyrannical Obama Administration.
Due to the government shutdown, keeping the memorial open was deemed
nonessential by the Obama Administration.
This is utterly despicable.
Barricading and employing extra security guards to keep people out of closed parks in Washington, D.C., is likely to be more expensive than keeping them open.
Some even go as far to claim the closure was a sham so that the Obama Administration could make it seem like the shutdown is making a bigger impact than it really is.
Considering how much the media cried over the impending government shutdown apocalypse, that claim makes sense.
The rightful allocation of limited government funds, also known as taxpayer money, during this shutdown is far from perfect.
Grocery stores on military bases across the country, including Andrews Air Force Base and Fort Belvoir, were closed. But President Obama’s favorite golf courses, which are located at these two bases, remain open.
To add to the offense, the government neglects to fund national parks at the Capitol, while it continues to fund ethically questionable and more costly agendas — some of which are not in the people’s interest.
I’m talking about the billions spent on National Security Agency programs, domestic drone operations, the dangerous militarized police raids and the Transportation Security Administration.
The most blatant issue with the Obama Administration’s decision to close the World War II monument is that denying veterans their access to a memorial dedicated to them is one of the most unpatriotic actions imaginable.
They braved some of the ugliest battles in human history not only for Americans’ liberties but for others’ worldwide. A crappy welcome to the Capitol is one of the last things these folks deserve.
It was powerful to see that with the fight left in them and the support of several Congress members, the barricades and armed security were temporarily moved aside.
World War II and Korean War veterans crowding onto their privately paid memorial, which corrupt federal authorities were blockading, symbolized another victory for freedom.
The disdain for our veterans demonstrated by the Obama Administration through the irrational closing of their memorial while unconstitutional operations are still funded isn’t just disgraceful.
It is an alarming sign of how little some of our so-called leaders prioritize our liberties and value true patriotism.
