National center notifies local police of child solicitation, exploitation reports

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children notified the Bloomington Police Department of one report of child solicitation and another report of child exploitation and pornography.

BPD received the reports at about 9:35 p.m. Thursday, Lt. Faron Lake said.

Both cases involve reported sexually explicit online chat conversations between an adult and children.

There is no way to tell if the two reports are related until the investigation is complete, Lake said.

BPD is working with the center to investigate the reports.
