County Commissioner, District 3 Candidate (Incumbent)

Kiesling has an associate’s degree from the Katharine Gibbs School in Montclaire, N.J., and Boston. Kiesling had an active role in the League of Women Voters of Monroe County before serving on the Bloomington City Council. She is now finishing her fourth term as county commissioner.

The economy: “Using well-crafted incentives for business investment will help attract and retain industries and jobs. We can continue to help prepare citizens for the changing job market through education.”

The approach: “We must create appropriate ordinances to accompany the Comprehensive Land Use Plan, and I propose hiring a consultant to help staff with this large undertaking. Significant related issues exist, including the potential development of I-69. This highway will require funding the construction of frontage and connector roads and other public sector improvements in the I-69 corridor.”
