On Sunday, Cypress Falls (Texas) High School senior Jacobi Hunter decided to join IU Coach Kevin Wilson and the 2013 Hoosier football squad.
A 6-foot-1-inch, 275-pound defensive lineman from Houston, Hunter is the ninth commitment for IU’s 2013 recruiting class and the first defensive tackle commit in the group. He is a two-star prospect according to Rivals.com and 247sports.com.
He received interest from multiple Division I programs.
Hunter had scholarship offers at Baylor, Colorado State, Louisiana Tech and UTEP before accepting IU’s offer.
During his junior year at Cypress Falls, Hunter had 59 tackles, forcing a fumble and a sack each on the season.
He will begin his senior campaign this Friday against the Oak Ridge War Eagles (Texas), when the Texas high school football season officially begins.
