School officials at Bloomington High School North called Bloomington police Tuesday in response to rumors floating through the school.
The rumors were that a student, 15, was showing a video of two other students in their late teens having intercourse to others at the high school, Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Steve Kellams said.
Police confiscated the phone the student was alledgedly showing the
video on.
Police will examine the video once they have permission in the form of a subpoena, Kellams said.
At this time, police don’t know if a crime was committed.
Detective Scott Reynolds has been assigned to the case.
He will need to watch and analyze the evidence before police decide their next step, Kellams said.
However, Kellams said, depending on the ages of the students allegedly in the video, the charges could vary.
The charge could be as serious as manufacturing child pornography, a federal offense.
