“Carancho” screening

Where: Wylie Hall 105

More Info: An official selection for the Cannes Film Festival, “Carancho” is an Argentinian film directed by Pablo Trapero.

The film follows the stories of Sosa, a personal injury lawyer who works for a shady law firm, and Lugan, a young doctor who is new to the city.

GLSN lecture

When: 6 p.m. Wednesday

Where: Fine Arts Building 102

More Info: Joseph Kosciw, senior director of research and strategic initiatives for the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, is speaking about the results of his 2009 survey that found 90 percent of LGBT students experience harassment in school.

The event is sponsored by Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Student Support Services, IU’s sociology department and The Kinsey Institute.

FNECC Craft Night and Potluck

Where: First Nations Educational and Cultural Center

More Info: FNECC will be teaching attendees how to make hide bags and lazy stitch beading. Materials are free for IU students, but attendees need to bring a dish.
