IDS employee arrested by IUPD for underage possession

An Indiana Daily Student employee was arrested Friday for underage possession of alcohol.

Max McCombs, sports editor and football beat reporter, was apprehended near the intersection of Indiana and East Kirkwood avenues, IU Police Chief Keith Cash said.

After IU Police Department officers saw McCombs stumble, they apprehended him. He failed field sobriety and breathalyzer tests, Cash said.

McCombs said he was walking home from a party and his primary concern at the time was keeping himself safe.
