Tent City leaves

The sun sets over the remaining tents in Dunn Meadow. Despite the cease-fire, many of the Persian Gulf War protesters have yet to leave the meadow. The protesters, who began arriving Jan. 8 after Phoenix Myers pitched his tent, plan to return to their traditional dwellings by Friday.

War protesters living in "tent city" to protest U.S. involvement in the Persian Gulf Crisis left the meadow after nearly two months of camping there. Their original deadline for leaving the meadow was Jan. 22.
