Dan Coats to make visit to Young’s campaign headquarters today

Former U.S. Senator and current senatorial nominee Dan Coats will be making an appearance at Todd Young’s campaign headquarters at noon today to congratulate the IU College Republicans for a job well done on the Young and Coats campaigns.

“It is a stop by for the College Republicans,” said campaign volunteer Jodi Richardson. “A thank you for their volunteer hours.”

The event should last from noon until 1 p.m. Young’s Bloomington campaign headquarters is located on 14th Street and North College Avenue.

Dan Coats represented Indiana’s 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1981 to 1989. From 1989 to 1999, Coats served as Indiana’s U.S. Senator before becoming the U.S. Ambassador to Germany from 2001 to 2005.

Coats is currently the Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate and is running against Democrat Brad Ellsworth, who is currently representing Indiana’s 8th District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
