Nominations open for women’s awards

Bloomington’s Commission on the Status of Women has released nomination forms for several local women’s awards.

The awards ceremony will take place at the Women’s History Month lunch on March 10, 2010, at the Bloomington Monroe County Convention Center.

AWARDS
Woman of the Year: given to a woman who has enhanced women’s quality of life through inspiration, community service or professional accomplishments
Emerging Leader: given to a woman with a recent history of accomplishments who is recognized for her future potential.
Lifetime Contribution Award: given to a woman whose leadership and service has improved the status of women.
