Alumna displays work at Boxcar

Indianapolis based artist and teacher, Emily Janowiak will display her work in an exhibit titled “Not quite there” at Boxcar Books through December 2.

An opening reception will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Boxcar.

Janowiak works with many media, but has recently worked the most with collage and altered books. She said her work emphasizes the self search and how complex human relationships are.

Currently teaching drawing, painting and photography at the high school level, Janowiak is originally from Lafayette, Ind. and received her degree in Visual Arts Education from IU in 2005.
