Monroe County students in grades six through eight can participate in the Oh! Nature Photography Contest from now until April 28.
The contest is meant to help students practice taking photos, improve their skills and gain appreciation for nature, according to a press release.
Students are required to submit one photograph that conveys his or her view of nature, according to the release.
To register for the contest, students can contact their school office. Those not enrolled in public school can register by e-mailing Carroll@sycamorelandtrust.org.
After the contest ends, 30 finalists will be selected by the Bloomington Photography Club. These chosen photographs will then be displayed at Monroe Bank.
The first-place winner will receive $150, second place will receive $100 and third place will receive $50.
Sycamore Land Trust, Monroe Bank, and the Bloomington Photography Club are the sponsors for the contest.
